We spent the summer at Wellington Camping Park, doing work camping. We loved this place, it had a great work schedule. You worked 4 days on, a 7 hour shift. Then you had 7 days off. Then your next shift was for 3 days on, 7 hour shift. Then you had 7 days off.  We also had a great campground Manager, Holly Dyrkayz, and a great group of work campers

We stopped in Hamilton New York for a few days on our way to New Hampshire.  We found this great neat equestrian park right outside of Hamilton New York.  We stopped to visit Kim's niece. We were there May 2 to May 5, 2019.

While in Hamilton, NY, we went to dinner and saw a roller derby race. Have not seen on of them in many, many years.

Hamilton NY is also home to Colgate College.

We stopped in New Jersey for a few days on our way to New Hampshire.  We found this great little place in Jefferson Township. Mahlon Dickerson Reservation, is about 30 minutes outside of New York, New York. We were here from April 24 to April 30, 2019.  I was meeting an old friend from the service, Steven Brown. We had a nice visit and met his lovely wife.  We were going to take a trip into New York, but I came down with something and was bed ridden for about 3 days.  We had to stay an ext...

We stopped at Cherry Hill RV Park on our way to New Hampshire. We were here from April 17 to April 23, 2019.  This park/resort was recommended to us by friends and folks we follow on YouTube that are full time RVers.  I guess I was supposed to be wowed, especially for the price we paid per night. Now don't get me wrong, this is a wonderful place, but I was not thoroughly wowed.  The highway was across the road, so we heard highway noise the whole time we were here.  We were hoping for more....

We visited Washington, DC during our time at Cherry Hill RV Park. We will have to go back there to see some more of the older sights and newer places recently built. We were there April 17 to April 23, 2019.

It was nice that Cherry Hill had a tour bus that did night tours of Washington, DC. We did a night tour while we were there. It was pretty cool.

We stopped at Cheatham Naval Annex, Yorktown Naval Base.  This is a navy base and you must have some form of military ID to enter.  The CAX MWR and cabins were nice. Most things on base were only open for a short time during the day, and closed about 4pm. We were there April 12-17, 2019.

While there a storm passed and electric was out for a day. We do not worry too much about power as we have a gas powered generator in the back of the truck. They did a refund for the day we did not hav...

We stopped for a night in Lexington, South Carolina in this neat little RV place called Barnyard RV Park.

We did dispersed camping, or boondocking, or dry camping in the Pisgah National Forest off Dillingham Road in Barnardsville, South Carolina. We had to learn the dry camping process all over again. We did run our generator during the morning hours to make coffee, cook, etc.  We did dry camping for 5 days, from April 6 - 11, 2019

Our batteries were not charging during the day, but we are n...

While we did dry camping in Barnardsville, North Carolina, we visited the Biltmore House in Asheville, North Carolina.

We meet Kim's step daughter at the Biltmore and later had lunch at Cedric's Cafe located in the compound.

We found out that the top floor of the home is under renovations, the staff were not sure if they were going to open the floor in the near future.

I have watched this television show on Velocity about this group of guys that took motorcycles of all brands and brought them back to life.

I decided that on our travels I would love to visit this place called Wheels Through Time, in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. We stopped by Maggie Valley on April 8, 2019 to see this neat place.

You need a whole day to read and absorb everything in this museum, but I felt it worth my trip to visit.  Also Maggie Valley, NC is one of those lost treasure towns.

After we left Valdosta, Georgia we headed up north and landed in Savannah, Georgia.  We spent the time at Hunter Army Air Field, about 15 miles outside of Savannah.  We were in Hunter from April 1 to 5, 2019. The name of the camping facility was Lotts Island.  We have not been to any other branch RV parks. This was a small campground, about 15 sites. As with most of the other bases we have been to, this was lacking in general maintenance to the outside and buildings.

We got t...
