We spent the better part of five days at Harrington Beach State Park, Belgium Wisconsin. We were here July 8 - 13, 2018.

It was great to visit with friends while there. Kim met up with her daughters friend from ice skating, Kristina Sit. The last time she saw Kristina was 15 years ago.

We got to visit Belgium, Wisconsin, and a pioneer village. Too bad the pioneer village is only open on some weekends and only during summer festivals.  We stopped by Stony Hill roadside school, this scho...

We sold the house early May 2018. We closed on the house on June 6, 2018.

Before we got started on our journey, I turned the corner to fast and got two flat tires. I know better, so the rest of the trip I was extra cautious. Thank goodness for Good Sam Roadside assistance.

We had the opportunity to stay at 370 Lakeside Park for most of the month.  We will have been here from June 6 to July 1, 2018.  This is a newer park, that has only been here for about 5 years. It has four circular areas for R...

We sold the house early May 2018. We closed on the house on June 6, 2018.

March 2018 - We made the decision to go full time. We have been selling everything we own. We have had 1 garage sale, and selling other pieces online via buy/sell/trade or craigslist.  We are having another sale the end of April 2018.  Along with getting the house ready for sale, we have been working in Daphne.  We installed a new front door. we installed a large screen TV. moved the smaller TV to the bedroom, we put a fi...

We stayed in Thousand Hills State Park,  in Kirksville, Missouri. I had a conference there Wednesday through Friday, October 18 - 20, 2017.  But we stay there through Sunday, 10/22/2017. This was a place we absolutely loved. We were wondering why there where there only two campgrounds. That is because there is so much space between you and the next camper.  This so far has been the nicest place we have stayed.  They have clean and newer facilities. We could have rented a boat or canoe, but they...

We stayed in Coles Creek state park which is located in Caryle Lake, Illinois from July 28 - 31, 2017.  This was a park we had reservations in before, but because of earlier flooding, we cancelled and decided to try again after the rains stopped and it dried out.  This is a Corp of Engineer park and have found them to be a bit nicer than some of the other parks.  We have only stayed in one corps park but have visited others on our journeys.

Our spot was about 10 feet fr...

We stayed in Pomme De Terre state park which is located in Pittsburgh, Missouri from July 7 - 10, 2017.  This was a peaceful park with many shade trees and camping sites that were well maintained. There is a Marina and also beach access (beach access in a misnomer) because to me a beach is white sand and ocean.  Wish we would have explored more while we where there, we could have rented a boat and cruised the lake. But we did not get the opportunity. This would warrant another visit, just to re...

We visited the city of Hermann, Missouri on June 2-4, 2017. We actually stayed at the camp sites owned by the city. We had the opportunity to walk around and ate at a place called the Tin Mill owned by the Dierberg's family.  We stopped by the Dierberg's Estate Vineyards tasting room, and spent a little bit doing a wine tasting.

We had visited Stone Hill about a year or so before, so did not take the opportunity to go there. We walked around the quant little town and stopped in a shop call...

We had the opportunity to visit some friends at Mark Twain Lake. They found an out of the way place and live there full time. Anyways, we spent the weekend with the grandkids. Our grandkids Lilli and Isabel rode with us to the lake. I refer to them as our grandkids because they call Kim grandmom and love her so much.

We visited Hannibal, Missouri and ate at some great places and had a nice time just touring the city. It would have been better to spend more than the weekend to see everything that...

We did a few modifications to Daphne after our first trip.  We brainstormed while it was raining (get it - brainstormed). We put cabinets under the seats. We added the spices to magnetic holders. We added lights to the closets.  We needed some place to carry our wine bottles.

We spent a few days at the Cuivre River State Park on our first voyage with Daphne. It rained the whole weekend. But it gave us a feel for what we would encounter when we go full time.
