Colonial Willamsburg, Virginia

We stopped at Cheatham Naval Annex, Yorktown Naval Base. This is a navy base and you must have some form of military ID to enter. The CAX MWR and cabins were nice. Most things on base were only open for a short time during the day, and closed about 4pm. We were there April 12-17, 2019.

While there a storm passed and electric was out for a day. We do not worry too much about power as we have a gas powered generator in the back of the truck. They did a refund for the day we did not have power.

This was a great place for us to visit old town Colonial Williamsburg, our site was only about 10 to 15 miles from sights and lots of other amenities. It is better to buy the yearly pass for military as opposed to either a one or two day ticket. It is cheaper, and we get to keep the lanyard, and just renew the card when we go back.

Wifi - sporadic, but worked fine when on

Phone Service - verizon phone service worked

Amenities - level pad, 50/30 amp service, water, sewer, laundry and shower close by.

Local - about 5 to 10 miles from stores.

We have been to some nice military camping facilities and some not so nice. We take the good with the bad, and chalk it all up to a lifetime experience. The places we decided were not to our liking, we will stay at again, but only for a stopover.
